9/11 Hero 5k/10k

This year marks the 21st Anniversary of September 11th.

~8 EMTS/Paramedics
~60 Police Officers
~343 Firefighters
~2997 Civilians
~and countless others who have died since than from 9-11 related illnesses.

The 9/11 Hero's Run honors the sacrifices of the victims from September 11th
and the wars since, to include Volunteers, veterans, active duty military, first responders, EMS squad members, law enforcement, dispatchers and families of the fallen.
The 9/11 Heroes 5k/10k RUN/WALK welcomes runners and walkers of all levels and of all ages, volunteers, friends, and family. It is not about fitness level or experience but about uniting and honoring our heroes.
ALL proceeds raised will go to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation- a non- profit organization formed to honor the memory of New York City Firefighter Stephen Siller, who sacrificed his life along with 342 others on that fateful day. The foundation also honors military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

LOCATION
The race starts and ends at the Fly Creek Volunteer Fire Company (832 County Highway 26, Fly Creek, NY 13337). Day of race check-in and registration will take place from 8:30–9:30am. The race will begin at 10:00am.
COST
~Individual 5k registration by September 3: $20
~Individual 10k registration by September 3: $20
~Fire/EMS/Police/Military 5k registration: $10 (must show ID).
~Fire/EMS/Police/Military 10k registration: $10 (must show ID).
~Fire/EMS/Police/Military 5k TEAM (min. 4 people) registration by September 3: $35 (must show ID).

REGISTRATION
Runners may pre-register online at: hero5k.itsyourrace.com, at The Clark Sports Center, at the Fly Creek Volunteer Fire Company or by mail. Registration is available at The Fly Creek Fire Department on the day of the race from 8:30-9:30am.
